Paul Quinn
Founder & Investment Manager
Investing has been a life-long passion for Paul. Born and raised in Bozeman, Montana, Paul started investing at age 13 with a small inheritance and money from his paper route.
This early start shaped his view of the industry. It also began his quest to achieve better performance. Over the years, Paul developed and refined his own investment approach. He did so through his dedication to learning, industry experience, and a mindset to “never settle for average.”
Paul started FCM as more and more people sought his advice and asked him to manage their money as he did his own. Many additional clients have since joined FCM. They value Paul's expertise, approachability, and commitment to do what is best for them. He holds this trust with paramount importance. Paul is excited that through FCM, he can use his knowledge and passion to positively impact a critical aspect of people's lives.
Paul also enjoys sharing his views of the market. He has been quoted in several publications including The Wall Street Journal and CNBC.
Prior to FCM, Paul helped financial institutions design and develop analytical applications for investment analysis and portfolio management. While at Thomson Financial, Paul launched Thomson ONE – the company's flagship solution that delivers real-time market data, news, and analytical tools to investment professionals. Thomson ONE has become a critical tool for investment analysis at global institutions including, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs. At MicroStrategy, Paul designed a range of applications to help individual investors better understand stocks and mutual funds. In this capacity, Paul worked with Ameritrade, Vanguard, The Wall Street Journal Online and S&P MicroPal Asia.
Paul holds an MBA from American University in Washington, D.C., and advanced studies certificate from Chinese University of Hong Kong, and bachelor's degrees in Biology and History from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
Outside of FCM, Paul is a dedicated and disciplined athlete. He enjoys snowboarding, skiing, road and mountain biking as well as functional training. He is also an avid reader of investment books written by the great investors.
